一: 常見犬貓的皮膚病的症狀:
啃咬與搔抓:犬貓持續地抓癢可能會把自己弄傷而導致感染。
2、乾燥/皮屑：可能是過敏、感染、營養不良、賀爾蒙不平衡所造成。
3、脫毛：可能是壓力、營養不良、食物過敏或是內分泌失調所造成
4、疹子／膿包／腫塊：從紅色斑點、點狀、片狀的丘疹到較嚴重的膿包或膿腫。
二. 常見造成犬貓的皮膚病的原因:
從感染、過敏、寄生蟲、黴菌到內分泌改變都有可能。
1、皮膚感染：不易清潔的劃傷和擦傷、鬆軟的耳朵和皮膚皺褶，都容易使狗狗有皮膚感染的問題；且重複抓、舔、咬也會使傷口難以癒合，甚至造成繼發的細菌感染
2、環境：花粉、灰塵、黴菌和植物都有可能在寵物身上造成過敏反應。可以將狗狗在家中常會接觸到的過敏原告訴獸醫
3、內分泌：內分泌系統出問題，使得身體裡的激素分泌過多或過少，就會出現一系列的皮膚問題，像是脫毛、色素沉澱或是皮膚變薄

三.造成犬貓的皮膚病的病理機轉:
皮膚過敏是過敏原復發，IgE 媒介所導致的組織安釋放與肥胖細胞釋放組織胺而使得血管的通透性改變，造成皮膚局部的突起與搔癢。而嚴重的皮膚過敏，有時會伴隨皮膚細菌感染與發炎後皮膚色素沉澱。總括上述，皮膚過敏最重要的致病機轉是皮膚肥胖細胞釋放媒介物質特別是組織胺導致血管擴張、血漿外溢、發炎細胞趨化現象和感覺 神經受刺激。

If you love your pet, cut back on injections of antibiotics, antihistamines, steroids to alleviate its skin allergies, dampness, eczema, rash, vesicular exanthema and festering abscesses, reduce irritability, itching and loss of hair or fur and other problems.
I. Common symptoms of skin diseases in dogs, cats:
1. Biting and scratching: continuous nipping and scratching at itches may lead to self-injury and cause infections.
2. Dry, flaky skin: probably caused by allergies, infections, undernourishment, hormonal imbalance.
3. Shedding of hair or fur: likely caused by stress, undernourishment, food allergies, or an imbalanced endocrine system.
4. Rashes / pustules/ lumps: from papules with red spots, spotty-like, flaked or scaly-like shapes, to the more serious conditions of pustules or abscesses.
II. Common causes of skin disease in cats, dogs:

3. Endocrine: Problems that arise in the endocrine system either increase or decrease hormone secretion, causing the appearance of a series of skin problems such as the shedding of hair or fur, pigmentation, or the thinning of skin.
4. Parasites: Parasites have a deleterious effect on the skin, and are likely to bring about illness. Examples of parasites include tapeworms from fleas, Ehrlichiosis/babesiosis/lyme disease from ticks and mites, and heartworm from mosquitoes.
III. Pathological mechanisms involved in skin diseases of cats and dogs:
Skin allergies are relapsed allergens, IgE antibodies that release histamines and mast cells causing changes in vascular permeability, thus creating localized eruptions and itching of the skin. Serious skin allergies may at times be accompanied by bacterial infections on the skin, inflammation, leading to darkened skin color. In a word, skin allergies, the most important mechanisms that cause diseases are mast cells that release medium substances, especially histamines and mast cells which lead to vasodilation, plasmexhidrosis, chemotaxis of inflamed cells, and a feeling of nerve stimulation.
